What better way to spend a cold rainy Sunday after a 6 day week than with some freshly baked cookies and milk? nom nom nom.... comfort food!
So i've been a bit focused on pistachios lately. It all started with some rose short bread from Fortnum and Mason. For those of you who dont know, thats where the Queen gets her groceries. Apparently. Anyway a while back we went there and got some biscuits and they were absolutely delicious. Ever since that I've been trying to figure out what I could make to go with rose essence. Anyway, one combination I came across was pistachio and rose and since then i've just kept looking up recipes with pistachio and thinking how they'd benefit from some lovely rose fragrance. Long story short... or rather I'll stop dragging this short story out... I found this recipe for pistachio, chocolate chunk and smoked salt cookies. Then ditched the smoked salt in favour for... wait for it... ROSE ESSENCE!!
